From Cancer Survivor to Empowering Others: My Journey with Innershiftnlphypnosis and Mindfulness
Facing a cancer diagnosis twice changed my life in ways I never expected. The treatments were grueling, the uncertainty overwhelming, but through this journey, I found a new purpose. I decided to channel my experience into something meaningful—not just for myself, but for others facing similar challenges. This is how Innershiftnlphypnosis came to be.

Discovering Strength Through Learning
During the two years following my second cancer diagnosis, I immersed myself in studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnotherapy. Becoming a qualified NLP Master Practitioner and Hypnotherapist was not just an academic achievement-it was a lifeline. These tools helped me manage the emotional and physical toll of cancer treatments. They gave me techniques to reduce anxiety, improve my mindset, and regain control over my life.
Learning these skills also sparked a realization: if they helped me, they could help others. Many people face difficult health challenges or personal struggles that leave them feeling powerless. NLP and hypnotherapy offer practical ways to shift thinking patterns and promote healing from within.
Building Innershift Hypnosis to Support Others
With this newfound knowledge, I launched Innershiftnlphypnosis.com. The goal is simple: provide support to people coping with cancer, chronic illness, or any life challenge that feels overwhelming. Through personalized sessions, I guide clients to:
Manage stress and anxiety
Improve sleep quality
Build confidence and resilience
Overcome limiting beliefs
Enhance emotional well-being
Each session is tailored to the individual’s needs, using a combination of NLP techniques and Hypnotherapy to create lasting change. The feedback has been inspiring—clients report feeling calmer, more focused, and better equipped to face their challenges.
Introducing the Innershift Circle: A Community for Mindfulness
Healing is not just about individual work; it’s also about connection. That’s why I am starting the Innershift Circle, a weekly mindfulness group. This group meets to practice meditation and breathing exercises together, creating a supportive space where people can learn and grow.
Mindfulness helps people stay present, reduce stress, and cultivate gratitude. In the Circle, participants learn simple techniques they can use daily to improve mental clarity and emotional balance. The group format also encourages sharing experiences, which builds a sense of community and belonging.
Sharing My Story Through Writing
Writing has been another powerful outlet for me. I authored a book titled My Journey: My Battle with Cancer, Treatment and Doctors, which is available on Amazon. In it, I share honest reflections on the challenges I faced, the treatments I underwent, and the lessons I learned along the way.
The book aims to offer hope and insight to others navigating similar paths. It’s a reminder that even in the darkest times, there is strength to be found.
Alongside the book, I created a journal called Awaken Gratitude: 90 Days to Shift Life and Mind, also on Amazon. This journal guides users through daily gratitude practices designed to shift perspective and foster positivity. It’s a practical tool for anyone looking to build a more mindful, grateful life.
Why Mindfulness and Hypnosis Matter
Both mindfulness and hypnosis work by helping the mind focus and reframe thoughts. When facing illness or stress, the mind often spirals into fear or negativity. These practices interrupt that cycle and create space for calm and clarity.
For example, during chemotherapy, I used breathing techniques learned in mindfulness sessions to reduce nausea and anxiety. Hypnotherapy helped me visualize healing and stay motivated through tough days. These methods are accessible and can be adapted to many situations, making them valuable tools for anyone.
Practical Tips to Get Started
If you’re interested in exploring mindfulness or hypnosis, here are some simple ways to begin:
Start with breathing exercises: Try deep, slow breaths for a few minutes each day to calm your nervous system.
Practice guided meditation: Use apps or online videos to follow along with mindfulness sessions.
Keep a gratitude journal: Write down three things you’re thankful for every day to shift focus to positive aspects of life.
Seek professional support: Consider working with a qualified hypnotherapist or NLP practitioner for personalized guidance.
Join a group: Find or start a mindfulness circle to connect with others and stay motivated.
These small steps can build resilience and improve overall well-being.
Moving Forward with Purpose
My journey from cancer survivor to practitioner has been deeply rewarding. It taught me that even when life feels out of control, we can find ways to regain strength and hope. Innershift Hypnosis and the mindfulness group are my ways of giving back-helping others discover their own inner power.
